Professor Shlomi Constantini is the director of the Pediatric Brain Center and the previous director of the department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Dana Children’s Hospital, since 1996 – This is the largest facility of this kind in the region. The department includes 3 senior neurosurgeons, a nurse practitioner and several international trainees at any time. He is also the director of the Israeli International Neurofibromatosis Center IINFC.
After completing medical degree & neurosurgical residency, Shlomi received his training from Fred Epstein at NYU, specializing in complex brain and spinal cord surgical challenges in children, focusing on those that are most difficult to operate.
Professor Constantini is active internationally while serving roles in global organizations such as: President ISPN, Past president of IFNE, and past Vice president of EANS.
Shlomi is intensely performing research and has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and over 50 book chapters. Professor Constantini is a member of the editorial board of many journals.
Professor Constantini is the founder of the ISPN Library, ispnlibrary.org.
